Mayor of Tirana Mr. Erion Veliaj Visits China Everbright Limited
29 October 2016 – Mayor of Tirana (Capital of Albania) Mr. Erion Veliaj, General Director of the Economic Development Directorate, Municipality of Tirana Mr. Enkelejd Musabelliu, CEO of The Water Supply Company Mr. Redi Molla and other senior government officials visited China Everbright Limited ( “CEL”, stock code: 165.HK) .
Mr. Gao Yunlong expressed a warm welcome to all the guests and had a brief introduction on the status of CEL’s acquisition of Tirana International Airport SHPK (“TIA”), as well as showing his gratitude to the Tirana government for their support in the project execution. CEL completed the acquisition of 100% shares in TIA this October, Mr. Gao hopes that this marked a starting point to further expand the bilateral cooperation in other areas.
Mr. Erion Veliaj believed that the acquisition of TIA is a mutual success to CEL and the Tirana government, and he welcome Chinese enterprises with strong capabilities like China Everbright Group to invest in Tirana continuously. Moreover, Mr. Erion Veliaj had a detailed introduction on the development of new energy vehicles and Water Supply Company in Tirana, hoping to expand the cooperation with China Everbright Group in these two aspects.
Backed by the comprehensive financial strength of China Everbright Group, together with CEL’s international platform and professional teams, CEL will be able to explore more investment opportunities in other areas in Tirana, as well as maintaining a long-term, win-win cooperation relationship.
